Wayne Babies - Live, Learn & Play

WELCOME

Hello, I am proud to welcome you to Wayne County's Wayne Babies...Live, Learn & Play! Website, created specially for the parents and caregivers of Wayne County children. I am the spokesbear for the program, which is designed to help your child's early learning and improve his or her future success in life.

To do that, Wayne County has produced a GUIDEBOOK. This will provide you with the information you need to help your infant and young child develop the speech and reading skills they need in order to enter school ready to learn.

A small RECORD BOOK has also been created as an effective way to chart your baby’s progress. We suggest you carry with you, so that your child's health information will always be available to you, even if you are at work or on a family vacation.

Together, these books are your key to receiving many rewards for healthy parenting. We hope the GUIDE and RECORD books will be of value to you and your child.

MISSION

The mission of Wayne Babies...Live, Learn & Play! is to provide Wayne County parents and caregivers the information they need to help their children grow up healthy and prepared to reach their full potential. To achieve this, a comprehensive program has been designed, combining an incentive plan, basic childcare information, and lists of services available from Wayne County, the State of Michigan, and the Federal Government. The program goal is to improve the quality of life for babies in Wayne County so that they will be prepared socially, emotionally, and intellectually to succeed in school and in life.
